Responsibilities Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments using the appropriate protocol; monitor for side‑effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and resources. Job Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred). Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred); Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal setting (preferred). Licences: BLS required; RN license in state of employment or compact. Certifications: Current AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C‑EFM); current STABLE (Post‑resuscitation/Pre‑transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) certification; current NRP certification; current ACLS certification. All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire. New hires are precepted and required to complete designated entry competency verification and perinatal services‑specific competency verification.
