Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg

Schedule - Weekend schedule: Every other weekend - Call: None

Assignment Details - Daily census: ~20 patients - Unit capacity: 20 beds/rooms

Requirements - Active RN license (GA or Compact) - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Patient ratio experience: 5:1 preferred - Clinical skills: Med/Surg and Telemetry care, IV starts, oxygen therapy, feeding tube care, wound care, ortho/trauma post-op care

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with medical and surgical conditions, with a focus on telemetry.

Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and PCA management.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge plans.

Compliance / Notes - Orientation: 6 hours (non-billable) - Compliance documents due by the Tuesday prior to start - Max RTO: 7 days per contract; all RTO must be finalized at submission
