About the Role:

As a CNA Child Care Specialist , you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in your community. You'll provide in-home care and support to children with special needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a per diem position, allowing you to choose the hours that work best for you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-home care and support to children with special needs, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and medication administration as needed

• Assist with daily living activities, such as toileting, transferring, and ambulation

• Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, including medication administration and vital signs

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and caregivers

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support

• CNA Child Care Specialist will also provide overnight care and support as needed

Requirements:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1+ year of experience working with children with special needs (not required, but preferred)

• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition children with physical limitations

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)

• CNA Child Care Specialist should be willing to travel to various locations in the Melbourne, Florida area
