TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Harvey, Illinois, 60426!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency Department required. License: Must have an active RN license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required. Must-Have: Prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency Department preferred. Description: Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Emergency Department is required. Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Floating to other units may be required. Certifications preferred include TNCC and CPI. Strongly prefers candidates with CPI and TNCC certifications. Skills required include: - Management of abdominal pain, acute psychosis, and drug overdose. - Care of ventilated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP management. - Adherence to isolation precautions and infection control protocols. - Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and EKGs. - Proficiency in blood product administration and managing IV sedation. - Experience with traumatic conditions such as gunshot wounds and brain injuries. - Knowledge in triage and managing behavioral health conditions. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient visits average around 120. Charting system used is Epic. Interdisciplinary support available includes respiratory services, social services, phlebotomy, and radiology. All candidates must have the required experience and licenses in accordance with state regulations. Less than 2 years of experience may be accepted. Module training will be conducted during the orientation period.
