POSITION: MAT Licensed Practical Nurse
SCHEDULE: Opportunities available for day, evening, and night shifts
FACILITY: Central NM Correctional Facility
LOCATION: Los Lunas, NM

Position Summary
As an LPN at our facility, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering care to a vulnerable population under the guidance of RNs and medical providers. You'll provide skilled nursing services to incarcerated individuals with opioid use disorders at the New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD). The MOUD Nurse performs ongoing risk assessments, triage, teaching, inductions, stabilizations, medication administration and monitoring of patients in the MOUD treatment program. Assists in the primary care of patients within the MOUD treatment program. Some responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments as ordered
• Assisting with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions
• Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions
• Providing wound care and changing dressings
• Supporting documentation and care planning
• Promoting hygiene, sanitation, and a safe environment for all patients
• Serving as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team

What You'll Need

• Active unrestricted LPN license and 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred).
• Active CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressure settings.
• A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.
