The Driscoll Health Systems Division of Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine is seeking a Medical Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine to lead and expand its dynamic team at Driscoll Childrens Hospital , a freestanding 243-bed tertiary care center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and visionary physician to shape a high-impact program within a major pediatric referral center serving 33 counties across South Texas .

About the Role:

As Medical Director, you will:

\n
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Pediatric Hospitalist program.
\n
• Guide and support a growing team of Pediatric Hospitalists in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
\n
• Oversee clinical operations and ensure optimal workflow, patient safety, and satisfaction.
\n
• Develop and implement clinical policies, care protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
\n
• Collaborate with hospital administration and pediatric subspecialists across a full range of services, including a 60-bed NICU , Pediatric ICU, Emergency Department, and surgical programs.
\n
• Monitor and improve performance metrics, quality outcomes, and patient experience.
\n

Candidate Qualifications:

\n
• Board-certified in Pediatrics; Subspecialty certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine strongly preferred.
\n
• Minimum 5 years of Pediatric Hospital Medicine experience.
\n
• Demonstrated success in clinical leadership, team development, and quality improvement.
\n
• Eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license.
\n
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
\n
