The Early Childhood Education Division is looking for a motivated Preschool Teacher Assistant to be part of the childcare team to assist in planning and implementing program goals for infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform daily activities such as feeding, diapering, and washing. Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe environment. Participate in planning child activities including preparing materials, equipment and food. Maintain pertinent records such as daily charts as assigned. Maintain knowledge in the field through appropriate educational activities. Perform support duties as requested by the teacher. Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled. Maintain all program and Agency required training courses

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent or meeting EEC standards. Ability to interact appropriately with children, clients and staff. All candidates must have a qualifying criminal background check. A driver’s license is preferred but not required.
