Job Opportunity: Spine Neurosurgeon

Our organization is actively looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship-trained Spine Neurosurgeon to become part of our collaborative practice. The preferred candidate should have 4 to 10 years of experience post-residency, with a solid foundation in general neurosurgery alongside their specialized fellowship training. A particular emphasis on minimally invasive spine procedures is highly desirable. As a member of our team, you will be encouraged to engage in research, which will be supported as you develop your interests.

• Become part of a vibrant practice that specializes in complex spinal conditions, including surgeries for pediatric and adult spinal deformities, functional neurosurgery, tumor and skull base surgeries, as well as cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. Notably, we have the only Pediatric Neurosurgeon in the state.
• Your team will consist of nine fellowship-trained Neurosurgeons, along with a skilled group of physiatrists, osteopaths, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and nursing staff.

• Receive 24/7 in-house coverage from Advanced Practice Professionals.
• Participate in shared call responsibilities with the group, approximately 1:8, covering both cranial and spinal cases.
• Enjoy immediate access to CT and MRI services around the clock.
• Neurocritical care is managed by a dedicated team at our facility, available 24/7.
• Our Portland location is the largest medical center in Maine, licensed for 700 beds.
• We host Maine's only dedicated children's hospital, a 116-bed tertiary care pediatric facility.
• Our center is also Maine's sole ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Neurosurgery & Spine is integrated within the Neuroscience Service Line at our regional center of excellence in neurosciences.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship or specialty training.
• A strong background in general neurosurgery.
• A collaborative approach to patient care and teamwork.
