Part-Time LPN | Outpatient Recovery Clinic | Dickson, TN


We are currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contract-to-hire opportunity with an outpatient recovery clinic in Dickson, TN . This position offers the potential for long-term placement after contract hours are completed.


This outpatient clinic provides compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and recovery support in a structured outpatient setting.

  • Tuesday - Friday: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Setting: Outpatient Recovery Clinic

Position Summary


The LPN plays an essential role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients receiving outpatient addiction treatment services. Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, documentation, patient education, and supporting the clinical team to ensure safe and effective care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient vital signs and assessments.
• Administer prescribed medications, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), in accordance with provider orders.
• Monitor patients for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Perform medication counts and assist with inventory as required.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and overall wellness.
• Communicate patient concerns and clinical updates with providers.
• Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, OSHA standards, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Complete required trainings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (behavioral health, substance abuse, outpatient, family practice, corrections, or rehab experience preferred).
• Current CPR and First Aid/AED certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
