Sr. Technical Writer

Senior Technical Writer Coho Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to lead technical writing and documentation efforts supporting the SOCOM Information Environment (SIE) in Hulbert Field, FL. This position develops, edits, standardizes, and maintains complex technical documentation while collaborating with Government stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure documentation meets contractual, operational, and quality standards. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Lead development of technical documentation supporting Government IT programs. Develop, edit, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, templates, manuals, and technical guides. Coordinate documentation efforts across multiple projects and stakeholders. Design, implement, and maintain documentation portal dashboards supporting Government contract administration. Develop dashboards used to monitor contractor performance, SLAs, and Quality Assurance metrics. Ensure technical documentation complies with Government documentation standards. Collaborate with Government SMEs to collect, validate, and organize technical information. Review and edit technical documents for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Maintain document version control and document repositories. Support process improvement initiatives through standardized documentation. Assist with documentation reviews, audits, and quality assurance activities. Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and within established deadlines. Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements: Security Clearance Active Top-Secret Clearance required Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree or relevant government program management experience may be substituted for formal education Advanced writing, editing, proofreading, and document management skills Experience creating technical documentation for complex IT environments Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated Knowledge & Experience Technical writing methodologies and documentation standards Development of SOPs, work instructions, templates, and process documentation Government document lifecycle management Quality assurance documentation practices Documentation portals and collaboration tools Information gathering through interviews with technical personnel and Government stakeholders Editing technical documents for consistency, readability, and compliance Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting SOCOM or other Department of Defense organizations Familiarity with SharePoint or Government collaboration portals Experience supporting IT Service Management (ITSM) environments About Copper River & The Native Village of Eyak: Owned by the Native Village of Eyak (NVE), a federally recognized Alaska Native Tribe, the Copper River Family of Companies are a collection of entities that deliver a complementary set of solutions and services to support the diverse missions and requirements of our clients.
