Psychiatrist - Nocturnist - CPEP (Part-Time)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Part-Time Psychiatrist - Nocturnist - CPEP to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx . North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, NCB remains a respected leader in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. Our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) is a state-of-the-art acute service that provides a spectrum of services designed to meet the needs of our diverse clientele, in the most effective and least restrictive manner possible. In addition to providing acute evaluation and stabilization of an adult and geriatric population, it also provides consultation services to the MED, PEDS ED and the Inpatient Medical units. We are seeking an outstanding psychiatrist with clinical leadership and teaching experience and skills. Opportunity Details

• Be the primary psychiatrist in charge during the overnight hours in our CPEP.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage acute psychiatric presentations.
• Document assessments, treatment plans and progress notes in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
• Coordination of disposition planning in conjunction with Social Work, Physician Assistant and other medical staff.
• Documentation of incidents in conjunction with other members of the treatment team.
• Support psychiatric emergencies and crisis intervention during the shift.
• Provide psychiatric consultation to the medical emergency room.
• Part time position - 24 hours per week.
