Transportation Engineer

Position Summary Transportation Engineer – Minimum 3 years of experience. Job location: Towson, MD; Rockville, MD; Mechanicsburg, PA; or Herndon, VA. Hybrid work schedule available (up to 2 days from home each week). Competitive salary and benefits package. Key Responsibilities Support a variety of projects, including data collection, existing condition and alternative analysis for engineering reports. Develop horizontal and vertical alignments. Perform cross‑section and superelevation design, roadside barrier design, ADA curb ramp design, roadway modeling. Provide design support for erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management plans, right‑of‑way plans, utility relocation plans, permit application drawings, and traffic‑related plans. Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution. Minimum 3 years’ experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation. Engineering‑in‑Training (EIT/FE) preferred. Experience with Microstation Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
