Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 3/4 NICU position requiring at least 2 years of travel nursing experience and NRP certification.

Details

• Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a hospital setting
• Level 3/Level 4 NICU experience required
• PM shift schedule: 7p - 7a
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week at 12 hours per day
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Floating to a sister hospital nearby may be required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (NJ or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP required
• RNC-NIC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all stages of growth and development from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Deliver competent clinical care with knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient progress
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and use of two patient identifiers
• Provide patient and family education with a focus on patient-centered, collaborative care
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
