Join a compassionate team providing essential basic patient care in a hospice inpatient setting within a regional healthcare network in the Southeastern United States. This full-time, day-shift role supports patients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and care equipment.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or communicating requirements to appropriate staff.
• Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.
• Maintain patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Manage and stock patient care supplies, ensuring a clean and well-organized environment.
• Participate in cost containment efforts and accurate patient service charging.
• Engage in ongoing educational and performance improvement activities.
• Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience and Skills

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Flexibility with work tasks and schedules.
• Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work variable shifts with significant standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
