• Pay Rate: $16.00–$39.39 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

This role is responsible for delivering and developing technical training across a wide range of solution areas and technologies, serving in the capacity of Technical Instructional Design Lead. The Training Specialist utilizes knowledge of training methodologies to plan, facilitate, and ensure the quality of training solutions that drive department or Operating Unit outcomes, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify gaps and develop an organized approach to training resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivers technical training on a wide range of solution areas/technologies.
• Develops, designs, and ensures the quality of training materials; performs in the capacity of Technical Instructional Design Lead.
• Utilizes knowledge of training methodologies to plan and facilitate the development of training solutions that drive department or Operating Unit outcomes.
• Monitors and documents user outcomes, needs assessment, and learning objectives.
• Supports the implementation of training programs, delivery plans, and documentation of user outcomes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and examine existing software and system training materials, identify gaps, and develop an organized approach to the development of training resources.
• Contributes to the identification and design of the technical training curriculum, balancing the needs of different functions.
• Ensures feedback is incorporated into the design, development, or facilitation of future technical training programs, and that training interventions align both learner experience and department/Operating Unit needs.
• Conducts analyses on program effectiveness, reporting to department or Operating Unit leaders on results. Provides input on documentation of programs, curriculum, and outcome objectives.
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Required Skills

• Instructional Design Certification
• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator), Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Suite (PPT, Word, Excel)
• Portfolio submission

Preferred Skills

• Experience in project management
• Experience working in a utility company

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (minimum required)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Education, Instructional Design, or Graphic Design, or five or more years of experience in supporting technical training and learning initiatives

Required Experience

• Five or more years of experience in supporting technical training and learning initiatives (accepted in place of Bachelor's or Master's degree)
