Work Environment\nThis position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to deliver care from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a work-life balance. Our telehealth setting leverages cutting-edge technology to provide accessible services to our patients, enabling you to conduct sessions via secure video conferencing. You will primarily work Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. This arrangement allows you to connect with patients effectively, ensuring they receive the support and care they require.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced by older adults. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address cognitive changes, physical health issues, and social factors impacting your patients’ mental health. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as individual and family therapy, to effectively address a range of geriatric psychiatric conditions. \n
- Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide integrated and holistic care to our patients. \n
- Offer crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, promptly addressing the immediate needs of elderly patients in distress. \n
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, exploring treatment options and community resources available to them. \n
- Maintain diligent and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate records of patient interactions and treatment progress. \n
- Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to stay informed about advancements in geriatric psychiatry. \n
- Engage in ongoing research and professional learning to implement best practices for the treatment of geriatric patients. \n
Your primary focus will be the geriatric population, specifically addressing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties related to aging. Understanding the complexities surrounding this demographic, including cognitive decline and the impacts of chronic illness, will be essential to your success in this role. You will strive to build strong therapeutic relationships with elderly patients and their families, fostering trust and open communication.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California. \n
- Experience working with older adult populations is highly preferred. \n
- Strong foundational knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities. \n
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications is required. \n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients and families. \n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to shared goals. \n

- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, particularly with elderly clients. \n
- Demonstrated success in delivering individual and family therapy aimed at addressing the mental health needs of older adults. \n
- Experience with crisis intervention techniques in mental health emergencies involving geriatric patients. \n
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
