Hourly Sr HVAC Repairer

Senior HVAC RepairerUnder limited supervision, responsible for operating, maintaining and servicing HVAC cooling systems and related equipment. Demonstrates a high degree of technical knowledge. Provides guidance to lower level HVAC repairers.ResponsibilitiesServices special electrical controls, gauges and panels for all equipment.Services and changes out motors, fans, exhausts and vent systems.Diagnoses problems and repairs equipment valves, chillers, boilers, traps, exchanger, radiators, regulators, pumps and pipes.Repairs and calibrates pneumatic and electric controls, variable frequency drives, connecting pipes, valves, dampers, actuators, air compressors and refrigeration dryers.Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and maintains inventory of equipment and supplies.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEDUCATIONVocational / Technical / Business SchoolWORK EXPERIENCE1 to 3 yearsTYPE OF SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONSoftware Certifications/Licensure Certified HVAC Technician Equipment Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier), Hand tools (e.g., hammer, shovel, screwdriver), Power tools (e.g., radial saw, reciprocating saw, drill, pneumatic hammer), Vehicles (e.g., automobile, truck, tractor, forklift)LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIESLevel 1 -No supervisory responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT-Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis.BUDGET AUTHORITY-No budget development activity is required.PROBLEM SOLVING-Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude, but are still subject to approval.
