Responsibilities Operate the control panel system using automation controls including computer touch screens and computers to start/stop the systems as needed. Ability to monitor systems and identify conditions that could cause an upset situation and resolve them with little or no downtime. Monitor product quality and adjust the system to maintain quality specifications. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment. Keep the assigned area organized and clean. Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations of Charah and its customers. Must have the ability to communicate clearly, listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response. Communicate with the main plant operations and/or Supervisor as needed for close coordination of equipment operation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid driver’s license required. Informative and professional assistance when working with customers and co-workers. Ability to act independently and to originate new procedures and new approaches to problems. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain initiative to maintain the flow of work. Ability to work under stress and with commitment to deadlines. Interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and outside of Charah. Achieve all production OEE standards. Maintenance of Company information in a confidential manner. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Work Environment & Conditions This position requires a flexible work schedule: rotating shifts (day and night) weekends, holidays, and/or overtime. Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Be subject to loud noises. Be subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. This position requires working in the internal and external environment. Ability to work independently and as a team. Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment. Ability to effectively communicate.
