Registered Nurse - Radiology

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Radiology provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. This role involves preparing patients, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout.

Responsibilities:

• Administer moderate sedation and assist with prep and recovery of patients in IR, Neuroendovascular, and Diagnostic units.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to any clinical changes during procedures.
• Document patient assessments, procedures, and interventions accurately in EMR.
• Collaborate with radiology teams and physicians to ensure smooth procedure flow and patient safety.
• Maintain proficiency in use of Pyxis medication system and Epic EMR.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, including ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of recent experience in adult acute care, radiology, or related units.
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Ability to perform moderate sedation and assist with patient prep and recovery.
• Willingness to float to various units and campuses as needed.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills.
