Interventional Radiology Technologist

Role Overview: The Angio Interventionalist provides advanced invasive, diagnostic, and interventional procedures, including ablation, stent placement, thrombectomy, and embolization. They assist in the Angio lab by maintaining equipment, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to safety protocols, including radiation safety. The role involves developing expertise in supplies and procedures, patient education, documentation, and coordination of care. They also orient and mentor new staff and proctor procedures. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of 2 years of Angio/Interventional experience or Vascular/Interventional radiography certification. Proficiency in complex procedures, effective communication, and teamwork is essential. Licenses required include ARRT and BLS, with ACLS and PALS within specified periods. Preferred certifications include VIR. Additional Responsibilities: Transporting patients, managing supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to see, hear, and read information, operate equipment, lift and transfer patients, and stand for extended periods.
