Flight Paramedic - Located in Alamosa, CO

Job Description Location: Alamosa, CO. Compensation: Starting salary $80,000–$83,000 annually including a $10,000 sign‑on bonus paid in two installments following the completion of training. Schedule: 5 days on / 10 days off rotation. Company paid crew housing while on shift. Responsibilities Complete and submit electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame. Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count. Provide pre‑hospital and intra‑hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough documentation. Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences. Maintain documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual. Be knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs. Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public. Function as a medical flight member. Attend pre‑mission briefings and mission debriefings, completing necessary documentation. Assist in pre‑mission liftoff checklist and pilot assistance when needed (e.g., radio, navigational, and visual observation activities). Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff. Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed by the Regional Director. Minimum Required Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting. Current EMT‑P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status. Flight Paramedic‑Certified (FP‑C) required within 24 months from date of hire. Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred. NREMT‑P certification may be required in assigned area.
