Reporting to the Department Manager, this hands-on role is responsible for coordinating preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting machinery issues, and leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians to support safe and efficient plant operations. This role is onsite and located in Rochelle, IL./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliSupervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians to ensure efficient daily operations./liliOversee and participate in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling equipment./liliDevelop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment longevity./liliEnforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance, ensuring OSHA and Company policies are followed./liliRespond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production disruptions, coordinating emergency repairs as needed./liliMonitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of necessary components./liliIdentify and implement improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of maintenance processes./liliMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance documentation./liliCollaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support seamless operations and continuous improvement initiatives./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./liliLeads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy./li/ulh3Who You Are/h3ulli5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry./lili2+ years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team./liliStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; welding and fabrication experience a plus./liliAssociate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered./liliProven ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions./liliFamiliarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office./liliStrong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and industrial safety best practices./li/ulh3What Youll Get/h3ulliCompetitive compensation./liliBonus plan and profit-sharing opportunities./lili401(k) plan with a generous company match./liliComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with low-cost, high-quality options./liliTuition assistance program./liliPaid vacation and holidays./liliEmployee loyalty awards and recognition programs./li/ulpCompensation Benefits/ppBelow is the expected base salary range for this position.
