Emergency Medicine Position

Location: Our organization is a Level III Trauma Center, providing comprehensive emergency services.

Annual Visits: We handle approximately 35,000 patient visits each year.

Facility Features: Our full-service hospital operates a 24/7 Hospitalist program, along with air medical and ambulance services. The emergency department is equipped with CT/MRI capabilities, bedside ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies in every room.

Physician Coverage: We ensure 42 hours of physician coverage daily.

Specialist Support: As a tertiary center, we have over 300 physicians and specialists available to provide in-house care, including:

• Trauma Surgery
• Neurosurgery
• Cardiology
• Gastroenterology
• ENT
• Pediatric Hospitalists
• OBGYN
• Pulmonary/Critical Care
• Neurology
• Infectious Disease
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Vascular Surgery
• Anesthesia
• Radiology

Transfer Policy: We only transfer patients out when necessary.

Practice Location: Enjoy the convenience of practicing at a single site!

Teaching Opportunities: Engage with residents, medical students, and PA/ARNP students.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Employment Type: This is a hospital-employed position.
• Benefit Value: Employment benefits valued at over $65,000.
• Base Salary:
  • $471,265/year ($251/hour) for Day Shift
  • $490,116/year ($261.81/hour) for Night Shift
• Extra Shift Bonus: $276.92/hour (day); $301.09/hour (night)
• Recruitment Bonus: $100,000
• Moving Allowance: Up to $15,000
• Work Hours: 1620 hours/year for Full-Time
• CME Allowance: Annual allowance of $6,000
• Liability Insurance: Employer-paid liability insurance and tail coverage

Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible; certification required within three years of eligibility.
• Completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency Program or Fellowship is necessary.
• H1B and J1 candidates are encouraged to apply.
• A graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school is required.
• Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
• All offers are contingent upon successful reference checks, background verification, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.
