Job Title

Surgical Technologist (CST) – Surgical Services

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Weekends and On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a high-volume surgical environment covering a broad range of case types including General, Orthopedic, Orthopedic Spine , Orthopedic Total Joints , Urology, Endoscopic/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Gynecological, and Obstetric procedures
• Perform scrubbing duties as the primary role; hands-on scrubbing experience is required for all assigned cases
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekday and weekend on-call shifts; on-call response time must be within 30 minutes
• Float to an outpatient surgery pavilion (3 OR suites) as needed to support sister facility staffing requirements
• Operate and assist with robotic surgical systems including the Da Vinci Xi platform
• Document and chart accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active CST certification through NBSTSA or NCCT is required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience; first-time travelers considered with 3 or more years of experience
• Spine and Total Joint experience is required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Valid compact nursing/surgical tech license must be in hand at time of submission
• Availability for weekend shifts (may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs) and holiday on-call coverage; must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Locals are welcome — candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, and Robotic-Assisted Gynecological procedures
• Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience
• Outpatient surgical setting experience
• Familiarity with Da Vinci robotic surgical systems
