Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, CA, requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and on-call availability.

Job Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds,
• Assignment in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit,
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00-17:30,
• Weekends may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs,
• On-call is required covering weeknights (17:30-07:00) and full weekends (Friday 17:30 through Monday 07:00),
• Procedures include diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac stent placement, circulating procedures, and right and left heart catheterization,
• Charting is done in Epic (experience required),
• Free parking is available on site,
• Travelers may be required to float between all facilities within the state,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required,
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS,
• Minimum 2 years of total RN experience required,
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required (hard stop),
• Experience with diagnostic cardiac cath, stent placement, and right/left heart catheterization required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• First-time travelers will not be considered; candidates with 5+ years of experience may be screened for an exception,
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

Additional Information

• RN scrub color is navy blue,
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted,
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; RTO requests made after submission or offer may be denied,
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated,
• Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
