Special Education Teacher in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

This contract role offers the opportunity to lead a specialized classroom, supporting students with diverse exceptionalities in an inclusive elementary environment. With a single-school assignment in the Northwest region, you'll help shape learning experiences tailored to unique student needs.


What you'll bring:

• Active Florida ESE certification, along with K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification
• Demonstrated experience teaching in a self-contained classroom
• Strong understanding of differing learning levels and exceptionalities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom climate
• Flexibility to accommodate predominantly elementary grades, with some openness to other placements
• Up-to-date fingerprint clearance; if previously fingerprinted within Florida public schools, verification through the AHCA Clearinghouse required
• Preparedness for an eligibility interview and a virtual prescreen

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement IEP-driven instruction for a self-contained ESE classroom
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet varying educational and behavioral needs
• Monitor, document, and report student progress with care and accuracy
• Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support staff, and families
• Create a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Remain compliant with all district and state documentation and credentialing protocols

As part of this engaging, school-based role, you'll work onsite (remote options not available) for 35 hours each week. The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact in the classroom.
