Environmental Services Floor Care SpecialistCleans and maintains a wide variety of floors using specialized professional cleaning methods appropriate to the situation.Job Responsibilities:Identifies and maintains floor care projects.Completes such specialized cleaning tasks as floor stripping and waxing, floor buffing, and heavy duty carpet cleaning, etc.Works around harsh chemicals, strippers, wax, baseboard cleaners, etc.Removes trash from various departments and dispose of them in appropriate areas.May clean, stock, sweep, mop, sanitize or vacuum offices, public areas, hallways, stairs, lobbies, closets, copy rooms or other work areas as assigned.May assist in housekeeping.Skills and Attributes:Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.Works under general supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.Position Requirements:Work ExperienceA minimum of 1 year relevant experience requiredEducationHigh school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferredAdditional Education InformationNoneLicensure/Certification/RegistrationNo licensure/certification/registration requiredOrganizational Responsibilities:Supports Owensboro Health's Mission, Vision, Core Commitments, and business interests.
