Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist

Location and Shift City/State: Norfolk, VA Work Shift: First (Days) 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM Job Overview Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an experienced Sr. Laboratory Scientist to work full days in the Core Lab. A generous sign‑on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing and interpret test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes. Recommend contingency testing as needed. Develop, maintain, and manage daily technical operations. Provide staff training and education. Implement instrumentation and oversee its performance. Ensure accreditation readiness. Education & Certification Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Biology/Chemical Science (required). ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification (required).
