Visiting Assistant Professor

Provide instruction and support to DeVry University's Advantage Academy high school students in Chicago Teach courses and programs according to DeVry University requirements Develop course syllabi and lesson plans Facilitate student learning using appropriate teaching techniques Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials Use websites, email, online discussions, and course-related software Publish course objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting Ensure exams align with course objectives Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly Provide timely feedback to students Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools Complete other duties as assigned Requirements Master's degree required 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an equivalent internationally accredited institution Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply Requisite subject matter expertise Outstanding communication skills Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in instructional design and delivery, with a focus on integrating responsible AI technologies into teaching.
