Sterile Processing Technician

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This position requires proficiency in both Endoscopy processing and Sterile Processing Department (SPD) functions. The ideal candidate will contribute to a safe and efficient environment in a healthcare setting.

This position requires availability for evening shifts, specifically from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, on a 5x8 hour basis with a rotating weekend schedule. The position is full-time, totaling 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and equipment in compliance with established protocols.
• Ensure the readiness of Endoscopy and SPD supplies for procedural needs.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize workflow and support patient safety.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards throughout all processing stages.
• Participate in ongoing education and competency assessments in sterile processing and endoscopy procedures.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sterile processing and endoscopy processing.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must possess certification from CBSPD or HSPA.
• Leadership experience is preferred but not required.
