Cypress Grove Post Acute is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Jackson, Tennessee, offering 170 certified beds. The facility is both Medicare- and Medicaid-certified, providing services such as long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and specialized support, including dietary planning and therapy.

Position Overview:

The housekeeping supervisor oversees daily operations to ensure cleanliness and orderliness by managing housekeeping staff, assigning tasks, inspecting work, and maintaining supplies. Key duties include training staff, handling guest requests, coordinating with other departments like maintenance, and managing inventory and budgets.

• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate the performance of all Housekeeping staff.
• Orient new staff and provide ongoing training on proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, safety procedures (including OSHA/MSDS), and infection control protocols.
• Develop, implement, and maintain daily and deep-cleaning schedules for all areas, including resident rooms, common areas, dining rooms, clinical spaces, and administrative offices.
• Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are consistently met. Provide coaching and progressive discipline as needed.
• Serve as a key member of the Infection Control Committee. Ensure all housekeeping procedures strictly adhere to established infection control and universal precautions practices.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the department operates in compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., CMS, state DPH). Participate in facility surveys (inspections) and assist in developing and implementing plans of correction for any deficiencies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of infection control and sanitation standards
• Ability to lead housekeeping staff and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and employees
• Strong organizational and communication skills
