Registered Nurse

RN01 Job Summary Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Unit Type: PERM / Full-time Registered Nurse Nights 7p-7a, 2 x12 Job Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to care for patients, considering patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors. Document steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology, addressing problems, and progress toward goals. Facilitate patient discharge through timely and appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources. Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate and support unit/hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities. Decision Making Exercise independent judgment in making decisions from diversified alternatives, subject to general review in final stages only. Working Relationship Coordinate activities of others without supervising. Lead others in the same work performed without supervising. Provide input on performance evaluations but do not prepare or give them. Work directly with patients and/or customers, internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction, and external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff, frequently interacting with individuals at the Director level or above. Required Skills & Experience Up to six months of related experience. Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently. Attention to detail as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
