Description Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) – Days – Tampa: St. Joseph's – Nursing – Full Time. Act as a professional role model for nursing team members, developing self and team, sharing organizational information. Perform trocar insertion under direct surgeon supervision and administer local anesthetic under surgeon supervision. Complete assigned competencies and obtain physician sign‑off for 6 trocar placements with at least two surgeons and 6 local injections with at least two surgeons within 90 days. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 3 years RN experience in operating room (CNOR required). Registered Nurse First Assistant Technical Program completion or degree required. Specific Skills Clinical skills appropriate to position. Interpersonal skills. Certifications and Licensure BLS (Basic Life Support) Registered Nurse (RN) Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) Education Associate's Nursing or Nursing Diploma Bachelor’s Nursing (Preferred) Technical Diploma – Registered Nurse First Assistant Experience 3 years acute care RN operating room experience (preferred).
