Unit: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Number of Beds: 27
Staffing: 12 RNs
Patient Ratios:
- 4 patients in preoperative area
- 1-2 patients in PACU (estimated)
This unit is focused on providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The team collaborates closely with multiple departments and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for patients recovering from anesthesia.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1 year of current PACU experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPAN certification
- CAPA certification
- Critical Care experience
Common procedures performed in the PACU include:
- Nerve Blocks
- Orthopedic Surgeries
- Spine Procedures
- Neurology Surgeries
- Interventional Radiology
- ENT Surgeries
- General Surgery
- Gastrointestinal Procedures
- Vascular Surgeries
- Colorectal Surgeries
