We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people's lives and we want YOU to join our team!What you will be doing: Responsible for duties involving repairs and maintenance of structures, electrical systems, plumbing, washers and dryers, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems in compliance with government and management directives.Essential Functions:Perform maintenance and repair of structures, electrical systems, heating, plumbing, ventilating, air conditioning and drainage systems; recommend contracted assistance when on-center repair is not possibleRepair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets, and fuses as directedPerform minor construction and repair of structural woodworkInstall window shades or coverings and security locksPerform repair or replacement of plumbing, fixtures, washers and sealsHelp prepare surfaces for finishing, i.e. painting as directedDirect students assigned to on center work experiencePerform routine and preventive maintenance checks of buildings and equipmentPerform routine scheduled checks of air conditioning and heating systemsProvide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customersParticipate in student employability programs and activitiesSupport, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance PolicyPromote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventionsMaintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalency and technical training in maintenance and repair.One (1) year related experience requiredComputer proficiency requiredValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordManagement & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
