Salary: $77,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience
Status : Salaried/Exempt
Reports To: Vice President

Position Description

Under the general supervision of the Vice President, the Program Director develops, coordinates, directs, and oversees the operations of assigned Agency program(s), facilities, and staff. This position provides leadership to ensure effective service delivery, fiscal accountability, staff performance, regulatory and contractual compliance, and alignment with the mission, goals, and values of Ennis Center for Children.

Required Qualifications

• Candidates must meet the following requirements at the time of offer:
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Prior foster care experience required, with strong knowledge of foster care program operations and applicable requirements.
• Minimum of two years of professional social work experience.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on Agency and program needs.
• Ability to satisfy all applicable employment eligibility, background screening, licensing, contractual, and Agency hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

Program & Operational Leadership

• Ensures effective fiscal management of program operations.
• Prepares, maintains, and reviews program budgets, reports, contract-specific procedures, and other required Agency documentation accurately and timely.
• Monitors program budgets, contractual requirements, staffing, and performance to ensure Agency resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
• Ensures appropriate operation and maintenance of assigned Agency facilities.
• Coordinates required documentation, reports, and analyses for Executive Leadership and Administration.
• Communicates significant employee-relations matters to appropriate Agency leadership and Human Resources and participates in investigations, grievances, corrective action, and other employment matters as appropriate.
• Communicates critical incidents to appropriate Agency leadership and participates in investigations and corrective actions as required.
• Maintains professional knowledge of assigned program functions and applicable requirements.
• Develops and maintains a positive Agency presence within the local community.
• Identifies, evaluates, and pursues opportunities for Agency and program growth.
• Monitors existing programs and services to ensure the needs of children and families are effectively addressed.
• Recommends improvements to existing programs and assists with the development of new programs when appropriate.
• Attends required management meetings and submits required reports accurately and timely.
• Performs other Agency-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervises assigned program staff and promotes effective performance and contractual compliance.
• Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and hiring of qualified program staff in partnership with Human Resources and in accordance with Agency policies and applicable requirements.
• Facilitates staff meetings in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensures employees complete required Agency orientation, training, and professional-development requirements.
• Provides ongoing supervision, coaching, performance management, and corrective action when necessary and in accordance with Agency policies and applicable contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures employee performance reviews are completed fairly, accurately, consistently, and timely.
• Promotes accountability, professional conduct, teamwork, and compliance throughout assigned programs.
• Performs other Agency-related duties as assigned.
