Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Springfield MAWork Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, 6 hour shifts with Saturdays as neededJob Responsibilities:Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groupsCollect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerProcess billing information and collect payments when requiredPrepare all collected specimens for testing and analysisMaintain patient and specimen information logsProvide superior customer service to all patientsAdministrative and clerical duties as necessaryTravel to additional sites when needed.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPhlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 or more months phlebotomy experiencePreferred Qualifications:Current or previous LabCorp experience1 or more years phlebotomy experienceAdditional Job Standards:In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agencyProven track record in providing exceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionFlexibility to work overtime as neededAble to pass a standardized color blindness testValid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportationBe at least 21 years' oldAt Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives. If you like variety, this role is perfect for you!**Pay Range: $21.00 - $27.00 per hourAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market dataPhlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metricsFloat Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursementBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
