Job Description

 

Insight Global is seeking a Patient Services Representative for a direct hire opportunity. This resource will handle general office functions that support patient care, including patient registration, insurance verification, and collecting applicable coinsurance and copayments. You'll also schedule diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answer phone calls. You'll greet patients when they arrive, manage wait times, and complete check-in and check-out tasks! You'll manage the cashier box and daily deposits, and process walk-in patients and visitors.

 

Required Skills & Experience

 

• 2+ years of customer service or patient service experience

• Very strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Data entry experience (Excel)

• Experienced in talking to clients and patients on the phone and via email

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite experience

 

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding

• Prior outpatient or clinic-based experience

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)

 

Day-to-Day:

• Provide routine patient care under the direction of physicians or clinical supervisors

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations

• Administer medications, immunizations, EKGs, ear lavages, and assist with minor procedures

• Perform venipuncture and manage laboratory duties (drawing, spinning, prepping samples)

• Maintain and stock exam rooms; clean and sterilize instruments

• Manage patient medical records and enter encounters/test requisitions into the system

• Answer phones, triage calls, and assist with front office functions as needed

• Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients per the provider's direction

• Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies

 

Compensation:

$20/hr.

 

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
