Details Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment High-risk department designation for Emergency Services 12-hour day shifts scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three days per week Every other weekend required Holiday coverage on a rotating basis Two call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, each 13 hours long, with expectation to be onsite within one hour of call 2-week night shift rotation required for all travelers No block scheduling available Uses EPIC for charting Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required Level 1 Trauma center experience required EPIC charting experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers and families Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation Contribute to a safe environment by identifying and reporting hazards Collaborate with team members and offer constructive feedback to support peer development Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (no local candidates) RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Workers who have been on assignment for more than one year at this health system must take a 6-month break in service before returning American Traveler Job ID P-745806.
