Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek. The Rose F. Kennedy Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) at Montefiore is nationally recognized multi-disciplinary program that provides a broad spectrum of clinical services for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Responsibilities Under supervision, provides direct patient speech-language therapy including evaluation and treatment as outlined by the guidelines of New York State Practice and hospital policy. Embraces the team concept of the department and the customer service approach to patient care. Provides daily clinical supervision of graduate student assistants. Provides services to patients evaluated at the Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC), a large multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment center serving infants, toddlers, and children with an array of development and related disorders from the Bronx, where over 55% of the clinical populations represent Hispanic households. Requirements Experience working with special needs population. New York State License and evidence of pursuit of continuing education and completion of significant advanced training in specialized areas of the field. Maintains a C of CC in SLP from ASLH.
