Job Summary

As a Technical Specialist, you will support the terminal Airport Surveillance Radar Model 9 (ASR-9). You will need to be a motivated member of the team able to think outside of the box to troubleshoot problems and ready to collaborate with the team to solve them. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of technical systems and eager to learn and build on their existing knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision in a team environment
• Provides support in the Radar technologies and practices for the testing real time system composed of hardware, software, and firmware
• Support the development of kits for modifications to be sent to the field
• Assist in the design, development, and testing modern solutions to incorporate existing systems and equipment
• Review and perform installation procedures for system modifications and verification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and three (3) year of related experience

OR

• Associates degree in a related field and at least one (1) year of related experience

Technical Proficiencies

• Required
  • Willing to travel on short notice for ASR-9 engineering support/installation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and hardware/software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Preferred
  • Radar and test equipment knowledge
