IT Implementation Specialist

Job Description

SCOPE OF THE JOB

The IT Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, installation, configuration, and implementation of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and network solutions across company locations. He will coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of IT projects, new site setups, and technical support activities in line with operational requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Support:

• Coordinate and follow up on IT implementation schedules and project timelines
• Maintain proper documentation related to IT assets, installations, and configurations
• Prepare reports related to project progress and implementation activities
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding IT requirements
• Ensure proper inventory tracking of IT equipment and devices

Technical Support:

• Assist the IT Helpdesk in ongoing and upcoming IT projects
• Support the installation and setup of hardware, software, and IT systems
• Handle end-to-end IT implementation activities for new branch openings and office setups
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to systems, devices, and software installations
• Ensure all deployed systems and equipment are functioning properly before site go-live
• Provide technical support to employees when needed during implementation phases

Network & Infrastructure Support:

• Assist in installing and configuring network equipment and connectivity solutions
• Support network cabling and infrastructure setup for new sites and offices
• Monitor and ensure stable network connectivity across implemented locations
• Coordinate with external providers for internet and network-related services
• Assist in maintaining network security and compliance with company IT standards
• Perform other duties that are aligned & related to the job scope

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related field
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in IT Support, IT Implementation, Infrastructure Support, or a similar field
• Linguistic Skills: Good command of written and spoken English; French is a plus
• Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office and IT support tools
• Technical skills:  

1. Good knowledge of network infrastructure, hardware installation, and connectivity solutions
2. Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and IT troubleshooting
3. Familiarity with POS systems, printers, scanners, and retail IT environments is a plus
4. Good understanding of network cabling and IT equipment setup

• Other Requirements:  

1. Ability to travel between branches when needed
2. Valid driving license
3. Ability to work under pressure and meet implementation deadlines
