As a CMT Technician , you’ll be at the forefront of construction projects—ensuring materials meet standards and helping bring plans to life with precision and accuracy.

In this role, you’ll combine fieldwork, technical testing, and documentation to help ensure construction projects meet required specifications and safety standards:

• Perform on-site inspections and construction materials testing on active job sites
• Conduct soil, concrete, and other materials testing to verify quality and compliance
• Accurately record daily field reports, observations, and testing data
• Operate testing equipment and interpret results for reporting purposes
• Work from construction drawings, specifications, and project plans
• Observe site conditions and document findings with attention to detail
• Maintain organized records of all testing and inspection activities
• Perform basic calculations to produce accurate testing results
• Communicate findings clearly with project teams and clients
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to protect yourself and others

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team:

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Solid interpersonal skills and team collaboration ability
• Basic math, computer, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications

• Nuclear gauge certification
• NICET certification
• Experience in construction, masonry, or materials testing

This is an active, hands-on role that requires working outdoors and on job sites:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with occasional heavier lifting assisted)
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and squat for extended periods
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, etc.)
• Ability to climb and move around active construction environments
• Strong attention to auditory and visual details on-site

• Travel to multiple job sites as needed
• Work primarily outdoors in dynamic construction environments
• Occasional overtime and off-shift work based on project demands

This position offers a great opportunity to:

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Charlotte,NC.
