The Registered Dental Hygienist will provide essential oral health care in a private practice setting, working closely with the dentist to deliver high-quality patient care. This role involves patient assessments, preventative treatments, and education to promote oral hygiene. The hygienist will maintain stringent infection control and equipment sterilization standards while supporting the practice’s smooth operation during standard business hours. Looking for full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and record relevant dental and medical history
• Perform teeth cleaning and polishing procedures
• Process and evaluate dental x-rays as needed
• Educate patients on oral health maintenance and disease prevention
• Implement strict infection control and sterilization protocols
• Assist in treatment planning in collaboration with the dentist
• Manage recall system to ensure patient follow-ups
• Maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Provide clear and professional communication with patients and staff
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
• Active Registered Dental Hygienist license
• Experience managing patient recall systems
• Skilled in maintaining and sterilizing instruments

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in dental hygiene

This J-town office is a well established practice that has been in this area since 1965. We have a wonderful patient base with a great work environment . Candidate may have an Associate Hygiene or Bachelors Degree and we are looking for either part time or full time employment. Also can negotiate wages and benefits.
