Event Associate

An Andretti Associate is responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations, and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional Guest service. All positions assist guests in various areas and in many capacities, listening to requests in a friendly manner while following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality to ensure Guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency. Assist with guest recovery and notify manager to ensure positive experiences. Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and coworkers. Work as a team player to meet guest needs and actively contribute to the efforts of other departments. Attend all required department and company meetings and training sessions. Be knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures. Perform opening, running, and closing department duties as assigned. Welcome visitors by greeting them in a friendly and positive manner. Set up and break down event spaces per event contract, management and floor diagram. Host entire event, supervise all activities and ensure guests are pleased with their visit. Maintain proper food and beverage temperature and use correct utensils. Pay attention to details, focus on guests, and understand event contracts. Deliver energetic guest service with a sense of urgency. Observe, instruct and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence. Assist with any guest recovery and ensure positive guest experiences. Maintain constant working knowledge of Andretti brand, product and policies & procedures. Qualifications 1+ year prior guest service experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurant or entertainment settings. Excellent verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and guest-focused mindset. Ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced and amplified (loud) environment. Work days, nights, holidays and/or weekends as required. Ability to use a point of sale system and other electronic equipment as needed. Skills & Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat, and sociable throughout the workday. Ability to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, holidays and weekends. Physical Requirements Perform functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing, and stocking up to 30 lbs. Some positions require working in extreme temperatures. Walk or stand for long periods of time. Desire and ability to smile throughout shift. Lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis. Perform functions requiring lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Communicate quickly and accurately. Work environment may include bright, dim, or flashing lights and loud sounds. Manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
