Entry-Level Fabrication Technician (Path to Welding)

Location: West Falls, NY
Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

This is an entry-level fabrication role with a clear path into welding and advanced manufacturing .

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to support our production team with metal grinding, weld preparation, and finishing work on aluminum components. This role is critical to weld quality and final product appearance.

What You’ll Do

• Grind and prepare aluminum components for welding
• Clean and debur parts to ensure proper weld quality
• Assist with fit-up and preparation of assemblies
• Perform finishing work on completed welds
• Support general fabrication and shop operations
• Assist with packaging and shipping when needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Hands-on, mechanically inclined mindset
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Ability to work independently and stay productive
• Good communication skills and team attitude

Bonus (not required):

• Experience with grinders, hand tools, or fabrication
• Interest in welding or learning a skilled trade
• Automotive, racing, or performance background

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to stand and work in a shop environment for extended periods
