Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer for a direct-hire, remote position!

We are seeking a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to support and expand a complex enterprise infrastructure environment within a large healthcare system spanning multiple hospitals and locations. This individual will serve as a key technical resource responsible for cloud engineering, infrastructure modernization, systems administration, security, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud environments, virtualization, networking, Windows infrastructure, and enterprise systems. This role will work closely with infrastructure leadership to support critical cloud initiatives and help drive scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions across a large, mission-critical healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support enterprise cloud and infrastructure solutions
• Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments
• Support cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and technology transformation initiatives
• Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Entra ID
• Administer VMware and virtualization technologies
• Support enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening
• Collaborate with application, database, networking, and operational teams on enterprise projects
• Monitor infrastructure performance, health, capacity, and availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
• Participate in after-hours support for critical infrastructure incidents and planned maintenance activities

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience
• Strong experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
• Advanced Windows Server administration experience
• VMware administration and virtualization expertise
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Entra ID
• Experience with enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting hospitals, healthcare systems, or other highly regulated enterprise environments
• Microsoft Azure certifications
• Experience supporting cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience
• Microsoft 365 administration experience
• Familiarity with healthcare integration standards such as HL7 and FHIR
• Experience supporting Meditech or other healthcare applications
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, infrastructure hardening, and compliance best practices
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and management platforms
