Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ASE certifications preferred or required based on job responsibilities.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Valid driver's license preferred and ability to travel as needed.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel mechanic experience required.
• Experience repairing and maintaining cranes, heavy equipment, forklifts, tractor-trailers, or construction equipment preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with diesel, gas, and propane engines.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, brake, and computer-controlled systems.
• Must provide own tools and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic rigging and heavy construction equipment experience is a plus.

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy tools, parts, and equipment.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights and around heavy machinery.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, day or night shifts, and travel for extended periods when needed.
• Capable of working safely under demanding deadlines and changing job site conditions.

Job Duties:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, brake, and onboard computer systems to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose mechanical problems, and complete corrective maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics to identify and repair equipment issues.
• Coordinate with operators, contractors, and maintenance team members to support equipment installations, upgrades, and repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, follow safety procedures, and ensure all equipment meets operational and regulatory standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives while delivering high-quality maintenance service in a safety-focused environment.
