Food Pantry Coordinator

Position: Full Time - Mon - Fri, 8AM - 4:30PM. Pay rate starts at $12/hr. Summary / Primary Purpose Food pantry including the intake process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet visitors/clients in a friendly manner. Answer phone and direct calls to appropriate personnel. Secure and enter necessary client information into database. Ensure pantry equipment is stocked and cleaned. Attend meetings as required. Responsible for sorting and stocking personal care items. Serve as a backup for the Social Services Case Worker and assist clients with various needs including intake interviews, client referrals, rent/utility assistance, and hotel vouchers. Serve as a back‑up driver for the Feeding America pick up. Perform all other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Supervisory Responsibilities None. Qualifications Ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously. Intermediate skills in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web‑based system. Administrative skills: utilize standard office equipment, data entry, 10-key, attention to detail, and filing. Good written and spoken communication skills; ability to maintain effective working relationships. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters. Other Qualifications Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit a majority of the time. Must use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. May need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to talk or hear. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions Ability to work with moderate noise in a business office and occasional outdoor tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
