Job Summary:
MRI Technologist Location: The organization is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures using high field strength magnets and related equipment. The role involves producing high-quality imaging sequences necessary for medical diagnosis, working under the guidance of radiologists, and participating in training programs for residents, students, and other staff. The position requires maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 13 weeks, 0.9 FTE, three 12-hour shifts, any day Monday through Sunday (primarily weekend coverage), rotating shifts from 0500-2200, no overnight shifts, no on-call duties, no holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) program; current American Heart Association (AHA) Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS); certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

• Additional Information: The MRI Technologist will be responsible for obtaining diagnostic-quality images, evaluating scan quality, preparing and positioning patients, troubleshooting equipment issues, and utilizing ancillary equipment such as PACS systems and power injectors. The position involves knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, safety procedures, and image processing principles.
